🥐 Bonjour from Paris!

This week’s edition of The Well Path comes with a side of espresso and a butter croissant.

First thing’s first: this week on the podcast, I sat down with Nora Hameidani, founder of Barre Effect, to talk about her journey of moving from NYC to Dubai, transitioning out of professional dance and into fitness, and opening her own studio.

We get into:

  • prioritizing balance as an entrepreneur

  • why growth in business is not always the right choice

🐰🕳️ Let’s spend a few minutes in the woo-woo rabbit hole

In today’s newsletter, I want to transition into a slightly different topic. Fair warning: it’s going to get a little woo-woo in here. But trust me, there’s science behind it too, and this sh*t works.

Being real here, this last month has been one of the most emotionally destabilizing of my adult life, with major life changes and a strong dose of uncertainty rolling in. In times like these, I find myself really doubling down on my relationship with my Self and with God (or the Universe, if that resonates more with you). I’ve discovered several tools and habits during this period that have had a tremendous impact, and I am feeling called to share them with you guys.

Take from this edition what you need. <3

Without further ado…

🔮 3 woo-woo habits currently changing my life:

  1. Morning Pages. This practice originates from Julia Cameron's book The Artist’s Way, which – full disclosure – I haven’t actually read yet but is high on my list. The concept is simple yet powerful: each morning, right after you wake up (before looking at your phone or engaging with the outside world), sit down with your coffee or tea and write three pages of stream-of-consciousness thoughts. This might include reflections on dreams, emotions that surface, beliefs you’re questioning, or anxieties and excitements for the day ahead. Why it works: The act of writing in the morning taps into your brain's theta waves, which are prevalent in the early stages of waking up. These waves are associated with creativity, intuition, and deep meditation. By writing without censoring yourself, you access your subconscious mind, allowing suppressed thoughts and emotions to surface. This process can be deeply cathartic, helping to clear mental clutter, reduce anxiety, and set a more grounded tone for the day.

  2. EFT Tapping. Emotional Freedom Techniques (EFT), commonly known as tapping, is a practice rooted in Chinese medicine that involves tapping on specific meridian points on the body. These points correspond to energy pathways, or meridians, which are believed to regulate our various bodily functions and emotions. While tapping, you’ll focus on a specific negative emotion or limiting belief, verbalizing what you want to release or resolve. There are tons of free videos you can follow along with for this on Youtube – I like Brad Yates’ channel, and he has a ton of free content. Why it works: EFT combines elements of cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) with physical acupressure, helping to rewire your neural pathways. If you’ve ever done acupuncture, it uses the same meridian points.

  3. Visualization. Manifestation has become a buzzword recently, but at its core, it’s really about the power of visualization—using your imagination to create a mental image of a desired outcome, and then embodying the feeling of already having it. This isn't just wishful thinking, it's about aligning your subconscious mind with your conscious desires. Why it works: Visualization activates the brain’s reticular activating system (RAS), which filters information and focuses attention on relevant stimuli. When you visualize a goal as already being achieved, your brain begins to identify opportunities and resources that align with that vision. Neuroscientific studies have shown that the brain can’t distinguish between a vividly imagined experience and a real one, meaning that visualization can effectively "trick" your brain into believing that your goals are already a reality. And remember: you attract the energy you reflect.

This may all seem a little out there, but these tools are grounded in psychological and physiological principles. Plus…they just work. Whether you’re navigating a rough patch or just looking for ways to deepen your connection with yourself and God/the universe, try some of them on for size this week.

That’s all for now. Thank you for being here.

See you next week!
