#29: where are you still operating on autopilot?

reclaim your time, your energy, and the stories you tell yourself

🪻Stepping out of auto-pilot

Have you ever found yourself finally pausing after a particularly busy season and realizing you’ve been moving through your life on autopilot – saying yes to things you don’t actually want to do, stressing out about things you can’t control, and generally feeling like a chicken running around with its head cut off?

This newsletter is kind of about that.

This month on The Well Path podcast, we explored two deeply connected ideas: the power of the stories we tell ourselves, and the importance of being intentional about where we invest our time & energy.

Both of these episodes are invitations to pause – to step out of auto-pilot – and to ask yourself two simple but poignant questions:

  1. What story am I telling myself about this?

  2. Is this really where I want my energy to go?

🕰️ Ruthless prioritization

Every “yes” you say but don’t actually mean is a “no” to something better.

In this episode, we unpack how to start saying no with clarity. We walk through how to run an energy audit of your commitments, so you can see exactly where your time is leaking, what your soul is inviting you to double down on, and what it’s asking you to leave behind.

🎙️ Episode 25. Why you feel stuck (the power of PRIORITIZATION)

You’ll learn:

  • The power of ruthless prioritization

  • How to outgrow things without guilt

  • Why fear of regret is really just a lack of self-trust in disguise

  • How to make sure you’re “rowing in the right direction”

This episode is for you if:

  • You feel stretched thin or over-obligated

  • You struggle to say no

  • You’re craving more energy and ease

🧠 Choosing a better story

This episode is about the incredible POWER of your own mind. The truth is, the stories we tell ourselves about the events in our lives are FAR MORE IMPACTFUL than the events themselves.

Consequently, most of our suffering comes not from what happens to us, but from the meaning we attach to it.

In this episode, we talk about how to genuinely let go of what you can’t control, and reframe challenges as opportunities for transformation.

🎙️ Episode 26. Everything is perfect – how to stay UNBOTHERED & change your life

You’ll learn:

  • How to separate emotions from identity

  • Why 99% of what you worry about doesn’t matter

  • The difference between reacting and observing

  • How nature can help you recalibrate your perspective

This episode is for you if:

  • You find yourself overthinking or caught in anxious loops

  • You struggle to let go of control when things don’t go to plan

  • You want to feel calmer, clearer, and more grounded

and a few personal updates…

In no particular order:

  1. UTAH! I spent a week hiking in Utah with one of my best friends and it was honestly one of my favorite trips of all time. If you have not been to Zion or Bryce Canyon Nation Park, GO! I was absolutely awe-struck by the sheer magnitude, raw beauty and EXPANSE of these places. I came back to Miami feeling absolutely physically and spiritually refreshed. I shared some photos on Instagram – the landscapes were truly out of this world.

  2. [SOLIDCORE]. Many of you know I became a [solidcore] coach in March, shortly after moving to Miami. Becoming a fitness instructor was something I’d dreamed of doing for quite some time, and I absolutely loved coaching. But in the spirit of ruthless prioritization (and practicing what I preach), I realized earlier this month that it was time to step back and redirect the energy I’ve been pouring into coaching toward new goals. It is bittersweet, but I’m super excited to see what this new space opens up.

  3. KABBALAH. I’m two weeks into a ten-week, in person Kabbalah 1 Course hosted by Spiritually Hungry in the Design District (Miami). Those of you who are long-time listeners of the podcast will know that I’ve been in what I tend to describe as a “spiritually explorative phase” for the last year or so, during which I’ve started exploring content from a range of spiritual and religious contexts. Even within the first two sessions, I’ve been amazed at how grounded and actionable the teachings are – and how naturally in line with a lot of the topics that tend to come up on the podcast. I’ll be sharing bite-sized recaps from each week’s course on TikTok and Instagram, so if you’re interested, make sure you’re following @the.well.path on TikTok and Instagram.

A peek at my notes from the most recent Kabbalah class, which amazingly, came 5 days AFTER I published Episode 26 - Everything is perfect. In life, we can’t avoid having negative feelings about things. But we CAN choose how long we want to STAY in that negativity (i.e. the REACTIVE STATE), vs. exercising our free will to create a better story (i.e. entering the CONSCIOUS STATE).

That’s all for now. Thank you so much for being here.

Love, Brooke
