#25: The voice that doesn't use words

introducing: ✨ The Self Trust Series ✨

🌬️ Rumi said: “There is a voice that doesn’t use words—listen.”

Throughout most of my twenties, I struggled to connect to my intuition. I agonized over decisions (big and small) and sought guidance outside of myself constantly.

Looking back, I didn’t trust myself because I didn’t really know her.

I remember feeling so envious of people who described having strong gut feelings about things. I craved that kind of direction, but could not find it.

Learning to trust yourself begins with the journey of remembering who you really are.

Of opening the door to your connection with a higher power, and allowing the light to stream in.

Of defining your core values and what really makes you, you.

If you ever feel lost or in need of guidance on something, get yourself into a quiet place (ideally by a body of water) and ask for it. The answers will come, just not necessarily in the ways you expect.

The “wind of your soul,” Emerson’s “iron string,” Rumi’s “voice that does not use words”— it is within you, and all around you. It always has been. And it always will be.

Welcome to the Self Trust Series

Over the next several weeks, we’ll be exploring the concept of Self & Self-Trust:

  • What it really means to abandon yourself (and how to stop doing it)

  • How to identify your intuition and reconnect with it

  • How to define your core values and start living in alignment with them

  • The difference between personality and soul essence (and how to find yours)

  • How to rebuild trust through small, daily promises to yourself

  • Letting go of people-pleasing and becoming your own safest place

  • How “dating yourself” sets the standard for how others treat you

  • Why certainty is a spiritual frequency, and how to cultivate deep inner faith

  • How faith in a Higher Power is the key to sustainable peace, clarity, and magnetism
