#19: finding failure is success
on alchemizing fear and rebranding failure
🗝️ Finding failure is success
I recently started training to become a [solidcore] coach, and one of their core taglines has stuck with me since hearing it:

At [solidcore], this is meant literally—part of what makes the workout so effective is that it specifically aims to get you to second stage muscle failure. Your muscles need to break down in order to build back stronger.
But the same applies to life.
Failure is proof that you're pushing your limits. If you never fail at anything, that’s a sign you're staying too comfortable.
The cost of a big life is failing every once in a while.
It’s time failure got a rebrand.
In this conversation, we cover:
How to distinguish between Good Fear and Bad Fear
Why fear is often a sign you’re on the right track
How to embrace failure as a sign of growth
A few of my recent failures (and what I learned from them)
How to build resilience and rewire your mindset for success
This episode is for you if:
You struggle with perfectionism or a fear of failure
You’re in a season of growth or change and need a mindset shift
There’s something in your life right now that you want to do, but are afraid to fail at
You want to build resilience and self-trust
🔄 Reframing fear
One of the biggest shifts I made last year is learning to see fear as a green light instead of a stop sign.
It’s important, first and foremost, to be able to distinguish between Good Fear and Bad Fear—and we go into that in more detail in this week’s episode.
Once you do, you can learn to alchemize Good Fear into motivation, preparation and action.
💭 Closing thoughts
Fear can either freeze you or propel you.
Failure can either knock you down or inspire you to push harder.
As you move through the week, I invite you to pay attention to where fear is showing up in your life.
Is it possible that it’s actually a green light?
Where are you letting the fear of failure hold you back?
That’s all for now. Thank you so much for being here.
Love, Brooke
