#18: there are no accidents

embracing the highs and lows of life with ease

⛰️ Everything really does happen for a reason

What if I told you that your soul chooses everything that happens in your life?

This week on The Well Path Podcast, I sat down with Caroline Leon, a Guinness World Record Mountaineer and licensed hypnotherapist, whose journey is a testament to resilience, trust, and the extraordinary power of the mind-body connection.

In 2015, Caroline survived a life-threatening rock-climbing accident, which resulted in severe injuries, including shattered feet, and fractures to her pelvis and spine. Despite initial prognoses suggesting she might never walk again, she underwent 14 surgeries, 23 blood transfusions, and two years of extensive rehabilitation, ultimately regaining her mobility.

In 2023, she went on to earn a Guinness World Record for the fastest ascent of the Volcanic Seven Summits—the highest volcanoes on each continent. She completed all seven summits in 183 days.

In this conversation, we cover:

  • The power of mind over matter

  • How hypnotherapy works to rewire our minds

  • Trusting the subtlety of life’s guidance

  • Embracing challenges as part of a soul-led journey

  • Developing and trusting your intuition

This episode is for you if:

  • You’re inspired by incredible recovery stories

  • You’re curious (or skeptical) about the mind-body connection

  • You want to understand hypnotherapy

  • You struggle to see setbacks as part of a divine or meaningful plan

  • You’re learning to tune into your intuition and act on it

🧿 Trusting the subtlety of life

One of the key themes of my conversation with Caroline was learning to trust the subtlety of life.

Life is always guiding us, but that guidance often comes as whispers—those quiet “green light” or “red light” feelings that are difficult to explain in words.

When we learn to trust these subtle signals, we get to the right decisions faster and we start to live life in flow.

This part of our conversation reminded me of one of my favorite books from my 2024 reading list, Conversations with God by Neale Donald Walsch. If you haven’t read it, the book captures an extraordinary dialogue between the author and God.

At one point, Walsch asks why God doesn’t talk to him all the time, especially in his moments of greatest need.

God’s response is simple yet profound:

"I talk to everyone. All the time. The question is not to whom do I talk, but who listens?"

Conversations with God by Neal Donald Walsch

How often do you feel life speaking to you?

What does it feel like?

Where do you feel it?

💭 Closing thoughts

Caroline’s story is a reminder that the most challenging moments in life also hold the greatest power for transformation.

Whether you are navigating a loss, a big life change, the end of a chapter, or just trying to tune into your intuition, I hope you take this week’s episode as an invitation to resist labeling anything in your life as “good” or “bad” and surrender to the idea that everything is always working for your highest good—even if the how is not yet clear.

As you move through your week, I invite you to keep your mind open to life’s whispers.

What is your intuition trying to tell you?

Is there anything in your life that’s been producing extra resistance recently?

Is there something out there that’s been calling to you?
